Enrique Agramonte

 

Enrique Agramonte (b. in Habana, Cuba) He began his formal studies in art at early age at the Museo Napoleonico. He continued his artistic formation at the prestigious San Alejandro Academy of Art in Havana where he graduated in 1989. He has garnered numerous intercollegiate and national awards including a First prize in Drawing at the 1989 competition Concurso Interescolar and First Prize in 1991 at the Salon de Artes Plasticas de la Union Nacional de Escritores y Artistas de Cuba (UNEAC). Most recently he was bestowed with the prestigious award Premio Amelia Pelaez by the Union de Cubanos en el Exilio. In 2003, the artist was honored with a personal exhibition, Tras el Mar de Mi Nostalgia, at Museo de las Americas, San Juan, Puerto Rico.
