Erik Olivera (b. 1973) is a contemporary visual artist from Havana, Cub, known for his unique style of portraiture. His art mainly focuses on the African American experience in the Diaspora. Some of his best known work depicts figures from the Afro-Cuban culture, spiritual faith and mythology of the Yoruba people known as Lucumi or Santeria, a great part of the artists' upbringing.
