Jairo Alfonso

 

Jairo Alfonso (b. Havana, 1974) Graduated from the Higher Institute of Art (Havana, 1998) and the National School of Art (Havana, 1993). His work has been exhibited in galleries and museums in the U.S., Costa Rica, Switzerland, New Zealand, Belgium, among other countries. Recent exhibitions include, “Killing Time” (Exit Art, New York), “A Sense of Place. Selections from the Jorge M. Pérez Collection” (Mana Wynwood Convention Center, Miami) and “Resilience. The Other Cuba” (Minneapolis). His work is part of the collection of Museum of Latin American Art, in Los Angeles.
