Leticia Sanchez Toledo
Miami-based contemporary visual artist Leticia Sánchez Toledo was born in 1985 and is of Cuban and Spanish descent. She is well-known for her personal depictions of women and scenes of them that are influenced by her passion in movies, where color and light play key roles in evoking a painting’s aura or atmosphere. She attended the Higher Institute of Design (ISDI) in Havana, Cuba and studied graphic design. Her work can be found in several public and private collections including: Pan American Art Projects, the Jorge Pérez Collection, “Fashion Art,” Manú Fernández and Luciano Méndez. She has participated in solo and collective exhibitions since 2011 both in the United States and abroad.
