Rita Aguila

 

Rita Aguila (b. in Guaimaro, Camaguey, Cuba, 1963) Cuban-Argentine artist and graphic designer. Graduated from the Polytechnic Institute in Industrial Design, Havana Cuba, 1988 and Graphic Designer in 1992. She completed several studies in marketing and graphic image for Television at the Instituto Argentino Agulla & Banccetti and Esponjario in Buenos Aires. In 2013 she moved to miami and by 2016 graduated from the South Florida Institute of Technology. Her creative line is very eclectic and ranges from graphic works for covers of magazines, records, catalogs and books and recently a series of digital collage to the intervention in furniture that she creates, not only thinking about its practicality, but also as works of art. From Havana to Buenos Aires she participated in various exhibitions of collective and individual art. Her works are part of private collections in Havana, Spain, Italy, Buenos Aires, Chile, Miami.
